We were saddened to hear that John had passed away. He was always the life and soul of family celebrations (usually held in a pub), and we often "put the world to rights" and exchanged jokes together.

He was always ready to help David with his electrical work, and could turn his hand to most jobs.

We will miss him, and our thoughts are with Rose, his sisters, Terrie, David and Helen, his grandchildren, and his great-granddaughter Ivy.

Phil and Joan

Friends for 30+ years had many a regular pint with John in the Red Lion since the mid 80s. John was always willing to help where needed in the home.
His last task for us was connecting our new electric cooker when we moved in to our new property in 2019, he gave up his Saturday night and wanted little or nothing for doing it.
An absolutely great guy who will be hugely missed by his family and friends †
