In loving memory of Keith Griffiths who sadly passed away on 17th August 2015

A Mancunian by birth, Keith lived on Mauldeth Road as a child, went to MGS from 1941-47 and joined HM Customs & Excise after a year at Manchester University. His career took him from Manchester to London, Belfast, Southend and Northampton before a final posting to Peterborough where he retired in 1987.
He was married to Shirley from 1952 until her death in 2005 and they had three children, Steven, Roger and Gillian, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Marrying Sheila in 2009 he gained a new family in David and Jane and their three children.
Keith had many interests throughout his life and he had a sharp and enquiring mind. He was a keen bridge player, enjoyed a pub quiz and followed the national cricket and rugby teams. Keith was particularly engaged by Music and Maths, however, and he took a joint OU degree in 1979.
He will be remembered by his family and by all who knew and loved him as a lively, jovial man who enjoyed company with a glass of wine and intelligent conversation.

A wonderful evening, like many others; enjoying the company of a wonderful man.

Missing you so much Keith. You entered our lives so subtly and left so suddenly but I feel very lucky to have known you. You added much fun and laughter to our lives and made Sheila so happy. I will miss my half bottles of rose wine and you teasing me that I don't drink real wine. I loved your colourful shirts and matching socks and your wonderful singing voice. Thank you for lovely happy times xx

Missing you so much dad, I can't believe you will never call me pigs bum again and I won't call you a silly old sod. Thanks for being a great dad I have so many wonderful memories and I can still quote most of green eggs and ham. Love you Gilli x

Missing you very much Keith(dad). Our lives are a little poorer without you in them. We remember your humour and welcoming warmth and of course sharing a glass of whisky or two with you.
