Chatar passed away on Saturday 19th February 2022, he was 75 years old.
Chatar was born in 1946 to his parents, Mohinder Singh Sagoo & Swarn Kaur Sagoo. Chatar grew up in Nairobi but went on to live in the UK, Zambia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the UAE. A true adventurer at heart, at the age of 20 he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. In 1969 at the age of 23 he took part in the Comex 3 overland expedition in 1969 from the UK to India with Exeter University, this was perhaps one of his proudest achievements.
Chatar was father to Inde, Sharan and Nav (Croc) and grandfather to Johan, Ethan, Isaac, Iona, Ada and Vega. Chatar enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren.
After meeting Fenglan in 2005, the pair went on to marry and eventually returned to the UK in 2016. While he complained about the cold, Dad finally was able to fulfil his gardening ambitions with his allotment.
We mourn the loss of our father and encourage any and all who knew him to remember the mischief he brought to this world.

I had known Chatar and Fenglan for over 5 years, always liked to talk to him about his allotment and his garden, he did everything from scratch, it’s very impressive. Chatar had sense of humor, enjoyed talking to him while visiting Fenglan. My love send to Fenglan and family. Chatar RIP. You are missed.
