In loving memory of Sandra Ann Brown who sadly passed away on 19th January 2022.

Sandra Brown (nee Hall), a beloved wife to Geoff for 40years, an inspirational Mum to sons Steve & Tony. Nan too Chloe, Jack & Amelia, Daughter to Daphne & Ellen. Sister to Linda, Raymond & Phillip. Auntie to many and a trustworthy Friend to many.

Sandra was born in Brockley South East London, attended Brockley Primary School followed by Sydenham girls School.

Being the youngest sibling Sandra spent many days with her elders and later many hours and days spent with her best friend Christine.
Early teenage years Sandra & Christine ventured into London and many hours spent in and around Lewisham even having a gitlie holiday in Hastings.

In 1977 during a family holiday to Bracklesham Bay she approached a young boy asking" would you like a "Polo mint" ? that was it a true romance began she was 15 and Geoff 15 in a week.


Sandra was a keen dancer at school and enjoyed trampolining and then Geoff arrived, it really was love at first sight. At 18 they got engaged and both sets of parents both saying don't worry it won't last. In September 1981 just after the Royal wedding Sandra & Geoff wed. A fantastic day was had by all.

Living in a high rise tower block in Deptford they started a family first with Steve in 1983 then moved to Milton Keynes their first house when in 1985 Tony arrived.

Sandra was a fantastic Mum especially as Geoff worked away from home fairly often as a Sakesman until they moved back to London.

Sandra would work at the league of friends shop in Lewisham hospital and in the evenings in a petrol garage to make ends meet.

Then the first business venture when Sandra and Geoff, sell there house and buy 2 shops as a plumbers merchants enjoying working hard whilst also having luxury holidays and joining a country club with a caravan on the South coast where she spent School holidays with the boys.

1990 came and with it Sandra become very ill and was diagnosed with Acute Miloid Leukaemia, many tense months passed and then brother Ray was an exact match for a Bone Marrow Transplant, little did we know then that the gift from Ray her brother gave Sandra would be give her another 30 years.

The shops closed and Sandra went out cleaning houses whilst also bringing up 2 growing boys, getting through the side effects from her cancer treatment aswell as working in a large plumbers merchants PTS in Crayford

Sandra made sure the boys got the best education even getting them extra tuition and encouraging them both to attend Drama schools where they both learned great social skills going forward.

In 2002 Sandra,Geoff Steve & Tony packed up their worldly goods and moved to Marbella on the Costa Del Sol, Spain.
Sandra & Geoff had a property Management company, looking after Apartments & Villas along the coast. In 2007 Sandra became a Nan with Chloe May Brown daughter of Steve &Jemma.
After 10 years of Sunshine Sea & Sangria they moved back to the UK in 2012, Steve, Jemma & Tony previously moved back.
Settling in Worthing from Marbella Sandra, worked as a cleaner until she became an office assistant at Goring Private Hospital, she eally enjoyed the job and the people she worked with.
In 2015 they relocated to Bexley where Sandra became a Pharmacy Assistant and Accounts Manager and number 2 granchild arrived Jack Ray David Brown. Sandra enjoying looking after him whilst his Mum Catriona(Steve's Fiancée) returned to work.
In 2018 Sandra & Geoff moved in with Geoffs Mother, Ellen after the passing of his Father David.

Covid19 arrived and Sandra being vulnerable due to the effects of her treatment for Leukaemia took every precaution to keep herself safe and she did, however in 2021she did have some health problems especially with her Lungs,Kidneys and general health.
Sadly on the 19th of January Sandra passed away unexpectedly from deep vein thrombosis Embolism in the arms of Geoff.
