I honestly wish I could thank you all individually for making John's last journey yesterday so very special. The family felt immensely proud and there really was so much love in the room. Seeing people we hadn't seen for a while was just great and the amount of people who travelled to show their respects still leaves me feeling amazed. John will leave such a massive void, but when you wake up at 3.30am the morning after your husbands funeral with a smile because you feel so proud is testiment to all of you. Thankyou xxx

Ignited a light in my life that many knew and shared, but with your passing comes a darkness that has taken it’s place now that you are gone. Your lessons I will treasure, but your love will stay with me. I will see you again Uncle John. Life is good.

In memory of a lovely guy who made life at Medialab more enjoyable. The world is a less happy place without you in it and we will all miss you greatly. I hope you are up there playing your guitar and enjoying a cold one, John. With love to your family, Ben.

I miss your banter and your stories of the food you’ve cooked, which I never did get to try! I’m so glad we had the band night, laughing and joking without a worry in the world. I’m just gutted I wasn’t there Xmas eve to see you! And I still owe you that hug. Rest in peace. Xxx

John, I’ll missing those evenings of playing guitar together over a bottle (or two!) of wine. You knew so many songs. Long may you stay in tune.
