Carole Ann Connor (31 May 1943 - 9 Jan 2022)

In loving memory of Carole Ann Connor who sadly passed away on the 9th January 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Carole was born to Gordon and Stephanie Quarendon on the 31st May 1943. Her younger days where many of her happy memories were made, were spent in Box Hill in Surrey until her early teens when the family moved to Shirley, Croydon.
Carole married George Connor in 1964 at the age of 21 after meeting at a local cricket club. They spent their entire married life in the same house in Shirley, Croydon. Together they had two children Gordon and Karen. Whilst being happily married and bringing up a young family, Carole also held various secretarial roles for the Met police.
Carole was a keen sports follower, enjoying many days out watching Crystal Palace and following Surrey CCC up and down the country and also England with the Barmy Army in the Caribbean. Carole also enjoyed cooking and baking many a celebratory cake, which were enjoyed by many.
Carole and George were married for over 57 years and she leaves behind her loving husband George, Gordon and Karen, her Daughter in law Tracey, and 3 Grandchildren; Matthew, Suzie and Kieron.
