Dearest uncle Ron , I only have fond memories of you which were filled with laughter. We shared the same sense of humour and the same compassion and kindness. I will miss you but remember you fondly. Thankyou for being you x

What a lovely man you was Ron. You were so supportive when I opened my first shop in Gillingham and over those years you became a regular customer. I was saddened when I heard that your life had been progressively affected by your illness and over the latter years our calls and chats proved more difficult for you. I remember a call from you to order a bouquet when you asked how quickly I could get it round to the recipient. It was 3am and when I told you, you apologised and we ended the call. I went back to sleep until the phone rang at 4am when you apologised again for waking me up. I did not thank you for the enquiry at the time nor the apology but it became part of my repertoire of stories about the 24 hour shopkeepers. Laughing now Ron. I am unable to attend your Funeral but will think of you on that final journey day. May you rest in peace old friend and keep a nice seat safe for me. Xx
