Gillian Ward (30 Apr 1939 - 28 Dec 2021)

In loving memory of Gillian Ward who sadly passed away on 28th December 2021 aged 82 at King's Mill hospital, after battling Dementia and Covid 19.
Gill's last address was Lowmoor Nursing Home, Kirkby in Ashfield, but she had lived previously at Howbeck Road Arnold.
Gill was born on Atlas Street, the Meadows Nottingham to Elsie and Ralph and had 3 sisters, Shirley, Ann and Susan. Gill trained as a Tailor in the Lace Market and spent the rest of her working life sewing with her friends at Clarke's which became Meridian, then Courtaulds formerly on Coppice Road Arnold. She was widower to Peter Brian (Pete) and leaves 2 children Karl, Kim and Granddaughter Lauren.
After Pete's death she met Roger and he moved in to her home on Howbeck Road until he too passed away.
Gill had a caravan at Skegness and met her friend Keith, but unfortunately he also passed away.
Dementia meant she had to move into a nursing home for the last year of her life.
Gill was a lifelong fan of Cliff Richard and was teased by the family for having his calendar every year. Often receiving more than one calendar for Christmas presents.
