Such sad news to hear that my Uncle Ken had passed away. I have such fond memories of him especially the times we spent chatting about jazz and saxophones!
As a child I used to love visiting my Aunty Joyce and Uncle Ken’s house and spend the day in the music room. I was mesmerised by Uncle Ken’s saxophone that was always on a sax stand ready to play and getting him to play it while my Aunty Joyce accompanied him on the piano. Magic times and memories.
Thanks Uncle Ken for sharing your music knowledge, jazz records and even leading me your sax. It’s thanks to you that I ended up a professional musician and saxophone player. You will be missed but never forgotten especially when I play my sax at a gig! With love from Jonathan x
