Ray, I’m going to miss the great nights at Up The Creek. You have always been a pleasure to work with and indulged me with my wind ups telling the punters to go and see Grumpy and that you wasn’t smiling and it was wind! Thank you for being a great team member and friend and having our backs. Sleep tight mate x

A poem I wrote for you my friend
Brothers
What a special kind of breed we are us men that we call brothers.
Who choose to spend our weekend nights out protecting others.
No thought for how the night could unfold we stand strong alongside each other for we must be sure that we prevail and not have to look for one another.
Men like us aren't often found in this world alone. We usually have a wife and kids safe and sound at home.
But we walk the line when we're at work the line of right and wrong.
So those who stand beside us must be those we can depend upon.
Men like Ray. I'm proud to say I've worked with in my life.
A Man like Ray I know I can say we'll all miss in our life

Ray I was the unfortunate one who only knew you for a short period of time hun, but in them few months you made me feel part of a team and accepted.
You were a ray of light and even up until literally 1 hour before you passed made me laugh.
Thank you so much for accepting me as a team mate but also a good friend..
You will be a massive miss…
