In loving memory of Anthony "Martin" Heale who sadly passed suddenly but peacefully on the 15th December 2021 at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, aged 60 years.

His wife Sue along with his son’s Christopher and Daryl, were at his bedside and able to say their goodbyes. Martin will be remembered by his daughters-in-law Laura and Rachael, and his grandchildren, Anthony, Ben, Hannah, Charlie and Ruby and by too many other family and friends to list.

He decided at a very young age he wanted to become a cook and following in family tradition joined the Royal Navy were he served for 18 years, including serving during the Falklands conflict. He dedicated the last years of his life to looking after his wife Sue and to helping the Poppy Appeal, firstly by being the Somerset County Rep for the Riders Branch, followed by becoming joint Poppy Appeal Organiser for Taunton with Sue, then lastly given the honour of being elected as Royal British Legion Somerset County Vice Chairman.

His true love in sport was Formula One Racing and watched every race weekend, it was a must every season and heaven help anyone who interrupted this.

Martins Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday the 22nd of January at Taunton Deane Crematorium at 12pm.

Family flowers only please. But for anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory, this will be to the "Poppy Appeal". Please either donate via the link on this page and any donations collected following the service will be passed onto the Royal British Legion Riders Branch - Somerset County Rep Steve “Bob” Latchford.

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Martin, but as a member of the RBL(R) I attended the celebration of his life as he left on his final deployment. Came away with the knowledge that Martin and I joined the RN in 1978 as Cooks and both served on the Alacrity, Martin as we know during the Falklands my time some years later in 1993 -
