In loving memory of Assunta Catino who sadly passed away on 19th November 2021
Mum was an amazing strong woman who lived and loved for her family. She was kind and generous and would help anyone. In the darkest of times she bought laughter to us all and was the heart of the family. She loved her husband Teodoro and when he died on 11 Oct this year she was heartbroken and missed him so much and not long after she joined him.
She loved to tell her stories to anyone who would listen and they became infamous but always ended in laughter. Mum was the sunshine of the family and everyone loved and cherished her and no matter what pain and suffering she was going through she would always have a smile in her face. We all miss her and a part of us died with her.

Assunta, Our lives have changed forever. We miss your smile, your stories and your dancing. You bought so much joy to our lives. I will never forget the special times we shared, and I promise I will make fusilli for Enzo and keep your traditions alive.
Sleep tight, lots of love , until we meet again.

In memory of Assunta,
Assunta was a generous and kind person. As is the culture of Italians the Catino family are very hospitable.
I had the priviledge of studying the Bible with her.
Assunta will be sadly missed. The community will not be the same.
We are all so used to seeing the family sitting outside especially in the summer with the aroma of coffee in the air and drinking coffee.
The Catino family are known for offering coffee to almost anyone who just happen to be passing.
But as with most things people can take advantage and they were forming a que for Italian coffee🤣
This led Teodoro to ask one day if they think he's running a free coffee shop🤣🤣
Well I didn't expect Assunta to pass so soon but I hope all the family stay strong. Assunta believed in the ressurection on a paradise earth. It made sense to her.
We all have fond memories of Assunta and her lively spirit even if her health was failing she never focused on it. I will treasure those memories they always made you feel at home.
