Poppy (Pat) Stubbins (12 Nov 1933 - 5 Nov 2021)

In loving memory of Poppy (Pat) who sadly passed away on 5th November 2021.
Poppy was born on remembrance Sunday, 12th November 1933, her Dad a lifelong member of the Royal British Legion named her Poppy.
She lived in Bethnal Green, London, throughout the war and at age 15 when she left school she decided to be known as Pat.
She married at 25 and moved to Gravesend, Michael was born 5 years later, followed by Corinne and Adrian. She divorced in 1977 and dedicated herself to bringing up her children.
As her children grew up, with Val, she enjoyed life, travelling to Europe and touring America and Australia. A friendship that lasted nearly 40 years.
Before retiring she worked in London, with Peter as his PA, she loved the job and was really sad when she had to retire.
In retirement she moved from Riverview to a flat in Longfield. After a heart failure and dementia diagnosis she moved in Lukestone Nursing Home.
She was in their care for nearly 5 years and they did a fantastic job looking after her right to the end.
A much loved Mum, Nan and Great Nan she will be loved and missed everyday x
