In loving memory of Tom Chapman who sadly passed away on 5th November 2021. A beloved husband and soul mate to Jodie, son to Peter and Geraldine and brother to Becky and Sarah. A much loved uncle, cousin and friend to so many.

Everyone is welcome to come and remember Tom who has left a massive hole in all of our lives but has also given us so many happy, precious memories. He was a bright, happy, hilarious person, so to reflect that, please wear something colourful rather than black.

Donations to Forest Holme Hospice Charity rather than flowers please. Forest Holme were absolutely amazing in their care for Tom and the rest of the family, so any donations will help to enable them to continue their excellent care to others in need.

We would love to hear your memories, so if anyone would like to leave a message, please do.

To my brother…you are the light of all our lives my love. You taught me to be silly, to have fun, to joke, to enjoy life. I will continue to ‘be more Tom’ in all that I do.
I will forever cherish our memories from when we were young right up to our last weeks together. Us playing in the garden on the water slide; exploring the woods on the golf course daring each other, with Becky, who can make it all the way across the fairway; playing tennis over the house; scrubbing your bum cheeks after you drew on them just like Bart Simpson did (but using marker pen!!); playing with the Playmobil Cowboys and Indians; playing with the Brio train set; wrestling in the hallway; doing ‘acro’; cycling like crazy down the hills on the Heath over all those tree roots; laying with you until you fell asleep; zipping you in a suitcase; us playing James Bond on your PlayStation until so late at night that we couldn’t then fall asleep as we were so wired; our weird nicknames for each other (in fact I heard ‘Zinedine Zidane’s’ name on the news the other day and laughed!); us quoting all our favourite films word perfect-Home Alone, The Goonies, Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber, Forrest Gump…Friends, (there is always a quote from one of these for every life experience….we continue to do this Tom…Phoebe and Leo have them down to a fine art); us discussing our dinners…what’s everyone got for tea tonight?; you taking the p over my total lack of tech knowledge (Becky is guiding me through how to upload this and donate as I type); bringing Pringles and Pick and Mix to you just a few weeks ago and telling me, ‘you nailed it!’; you always saying, ‘love you’ and asking how we all are…
Phoebe and Leo miss their Uncle…they loved your ‘naughty boy’ stories and we will still talk about them! You carry on through your nieces and nephews who are smaller versions of you! I think because we are all so close and so bonkers, this has rubbed off on our kids! We all sing at the tops of our voices, make silly faces and noises, crack jokes, burp and fart….and laugh so ruddy hard and just have so much fun! I love how silly we are as a family, how fabulous our family is. I hold this so dear in my heart. You are everywhere and when I think of you I feel blessed and so forever thankful that I pause for a moment, feel such warmth in my heart and smile. Thank you for my smile.
All my love always my Angel, your sister Sarah xxxxx
PS….could I BE more proud of you Tom…
PPS…pullover…no it’s a cardigan but thank for noticing…
PPPS…hey you guys!
PPPPPS…alrighty then…..
PPPPPPS…mama always said, ‘life is like a box of chocolates… xxxxx
Love from Sarah, Neil, Phoebe and Leo xxxxx

My little brother, always. I miss you so much. Your silliness, the emoji videos, singing at the top of your voice. Bants about football and us both ganging up and taking the p out of Dad. My partner in crime. What a massive hole you have left in our lives. So proud of you and privileged to have been with you those last few days. I’m sorry I couldn’t fix it 😢
As you said to me, in my last text message from you.
Love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

I have spent so many days and nights with Sarah and Geraldine and they would speak of Tom often. I met him a few times and thought him a fine young man. Our families have always been a part of our narrative as a group and I hope to continue to hear many more tales of Tom as I give my support to Sarah and Geraldine through the next phase. I love you girls. X x x x x
