In loving memory of Bruce Gent who sadly passed away at home on 1st November 2021 at the age of 90 after a long illness. He leaves behind a large and loving family, all of whom miss him dearly.
His biggest love was, and will forever be, Di, his wife of 69 years. He was also father to Andrew, Rosie, Caroline and Sally, grandfather to Clare, John and Nick; to Ollie and Kate; and to Matthew, Harriet and James; as well as great grandfather to Yash, Joseph, William and Rupert. He was also well loved by wider family and friends

Bruce was a man who loved life and loved to talk to people. He was always a happy 'glass half full' man, and had a 'use it or lose it' attitude. He would always lend a hand and join in even when quite elderly. He will leave a huge hole in the lives of so many.

We would love to see your photos or hear your memories of Bruce, so if anyone would like to leave a message, please do so below.

Donations can be made to Prostate Cancer Research or to Macmillan Local Care, for which we thank-you.

Uncle Bruce you were always welcoming and friendly with a cheeky, boyish grin. We loved coming to see you and Auntie Di and we will miss having you in our extended family life.
What a testament to a life well lived to have standing room only today with so many to whom you made a difference wanting to come and say goodbye to you.
Gay and John, Dorsan and Chris

I always enjoyed a chat with Bruce, and watching him and Dave chat away like a couple of old women made me smile. He was a real character.
