In loving memory of Jane Fuller who sadly passed away on 18th October 2021.
Jane Mary was born in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire to parents Dorothy and Cyril Bertenshaw. She was the fourth child in succession to Pam, Paul and Anne. Jane went to school locally and later attended teaching college in Nottinghamshire where she trained as a primary school teacher. She married Vic Fuller in July 1972 and they moved shortly after to the Wirral. It was here that they had two children, Lucy and David. Jane and the family went on to live in High Leigh in Cheshire followed by Pyrford in Surrey. They were not long in Surrey before they moved abroad to Rochester in Upstate New York. Jane loved living in the USA and talked very fondly about her time there. Later, Jane and family moved back to Cobham in Surrey. During this time, Jane and Vic divorced. Jane went on to meet Paul and live in West Horsley in Surrey. She eventually moved to Blandford Forum in Dorset to be nearer her daughter Lucy, son-in-law Mike and grandchildren James and Amy. Being nearer to the grandchildren gave Jane great joy. It was here in Dorset that Paul passed away. Soon after, Jane was sadly diagnosed with breast cancer against which she fought a very brave battle. Fortunately, she was able to meet and hold her new grandchild, Owen, born to her son David and his fiancee Cheryl, before she passed away.
Jane was very fond of animals and adored her dogs Taffy, Sammy, Kristie and Sammy no. 2. Fitness was a huge part of her life, in particular aerobics and walking. She had a positive outlook on life, great energy, and a sense of fun. Her willingness to play sports, board games, be silly and laugh and organise a great kids party will always be remembered by her children. And her creative talents to sew, make clothes and costumes, knit, decorate and draw will always be appreciated. She was so calming and a great listener. We will remember her for being incredibly glamorous, especially in her 80s jumpsuits and sequin/sparkly jumpers. She was truly beautiful inside and out, and so loved by her family and friends. She will leave a huge gap in our lives and will always be in our hearts.
