In loving memory of Janice Anderson (nee Pywell) born 6th October 1941 who sadly passed away on 2nd August 2015.
Widow to Jim (James) Anderson, Loving sister to Derek, Mother to Stuart, Richard & Tracey. Grandmother to James, Kayleigh, Bonnie, Jessica, Toby & Katie. Great grandmother to Skye, Kaysey, Sonny & Emily. Much loved friend to many others.
Janice lived almost all of her life in Peterborough having been born in Oxford she moved to Peterborough and it was here she met Jim they fell in love and set up home later in time having Stuart, Richard & Tracey. Always proud of her family whom she loved unconditionally.
The early years in Peterborough were spent working hard as both a hairdresser, bakery delivery driver, playgroup supervisor and finally a supervisor in the Freemans catalogue warehouse (we children benefitted from the returns bought in the staff shop).
Her passions in life were her family and pets namely her German Shepherd dogs of which she devoted many hours breeding and training them to show winning standard gaining many rosettes and prizes along the way, aside from her love of GSD’s she also loved cats as pets and was devoted to their wellbeing.
During her and Jims life they were fortunate to experience many adventures travelling as far away as Australia where the Anderson clan is lovingly represented she made many friends and was true to those true to her.
Her most loved times of recent years was when mum and dad lived at Cliff House in Dunwich Suffolk, always busy she was part of an energetic team of volunteers around the site who would raise thousands of pounds to donate to the East Anglian Air Ambulance service. Janice loved to live next to the sea and she shared many happy times with family and friends busying herself around the site.
The loss of Jim two years ago brought great sadness to her but she remained positive and despite her chronic liver condition she remained as independent as she could. The sadness for us all is that her condition deteriorated quickly and spending her last week on this earth in the hospice at Thorpe hall she was cared for by the staff who allowed her to receive a visit from her beloved cat Tom. The poignancy of her being in Thorpe all was not lost on her as 54 years previously it had been the place she gave birth to her eldest son Stuart so happy and sad memories we can take comfort though that she was comfortable and cared for by the staff there in what is a very nice modern building within the beautiful grounds of the old house.
Rest in peace reunited with Jim and other family members long passed away, those of us left behind are mourning your loss to us but the memories will remain forever.
