Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 21st aged 74 years, Mary (nee Etherington). The dearly loved mam of Lesley, Neil and Anyta. A loving mother-in-law of John, Carol and Norman. A loved sister, sister-in-law, aunty, friend to many and a loving nana of Amy, Leah, Mason, Niall, Alex and Lewis. Friends please meet on Friday November 5th for a service in the Independent Methodist Church, Easington Lane at 2.30pm. Committal to follow in Durham Crematorium. All are welcome afterwards to Hetton Lyons Cricket Club for refreshments. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if so desired to the Alzheimer’s Society. A collection box will be provided at the church. All enquiries to Andrew Grey Funeral Directors, 30 Station Road, Hetton-Le-Hole Tel: 0191 5265800. Loved and remembered always.

My thoughts are with Lesley Neil Anyta and their families today. I woke with a tear in my eyes this morning. Aunty's Mary is always in my heart and good memories whilst growing up. Mary taught me to do the twist in the front room at 5 Beech Ave, Murton when I was 8.
Sorry I cannot be with you all personally today. At 2.30p I will be thinking of Mary and the families.
