I remember when you made us beans on toast with cheese in it (CHEESE - in beans on toast!) when we had sleepovers or went up to London or came in late from parties. I don't know how you tolerated all the teenage hyperactivity until whatever unearthly hour. Thank you for letting us grow under your roof, Jane. You will be missed.

I will always remember you as the warm embrace that made everything better when I was young, the smell of your perfume, the big smile that lit up a room and your loud infectious laugh.
I will think of you always, and I will look out for little reminders that you are nearby – A little sign – a robin, a rainbow, a bright red lipstick mark. I wish you could have left a few more of those behind, for us and for the grandkids.
I’ll miss you forever Mum, and I hope that you knew how much you were loved by us all. All my love, always. Dimtha xx

Jane - you were the dearest friend and a beautiful person inside and out. So many memories from our times together working as ground hostesses, the parties where we went straight on to a 6am shift afterwards, staying over at your flat, the Friday dinner nights and the barbecues. The airshow when you were pregnant with Sam and we blagged you into the airmen’s loo - twice! (“Are you takin’ the mickey ma’am”), our joint 40th birthday party … so many more. Your laugh…. oh your laugh. I’m so going to miss that.
Taken much too soon. I hope you’re up there dancing to James Taylor. Much love, Jean xxx
