In loving memory of our Mum, Sandra Martin who sadly passed away on 1st August 2015.

We hope that you will share your memories, stories and photos of Mum on this page.

It was Mums choice to have a fundraising page set up in her memory, as an alternative to flowers.

The St Michaels Hospice 'Home Care Team' helped us all through her last few days. Their support was insurmountable and we will be forever grateful for their hard work and kindness.

The hospice relies on charitable funding. We have experienced first-hand their dedicated support, and would very much like to help them continue to pass on their services to help others.

I never knew what I wanted to write which is partly why this has taken so long and also I didn't know how best to put into words my sorrow at Sandra's early passing. My condolences to her gorgeous family, of which when I was growing up, I always felt part of and welcomed into. It was home away from home and certainly a much happier home than my own and Sandra was central to that and the most amazing influence to me with the warmest heart. Anyway, songs always remind me of a time and a place and the song that I have always associated with Sandra is 'Heartbreaker' by Dionne Warwick, but not in a sad way, in a celebratory way. So I dedicate that song to you. I wish you safe travels Sandra, thank you for being a part of my life. Your legacy lives on in your crazy, fun and loving family, you will never be forgotten. Much love always, Stephanie xx

Sandra The Angels saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so they put their arms around you and whispered "Come to Me".

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands now rest, the Angels broke so many hearts, to prove to us they only take the best.

Thank you for always making me welcome, whenever Margaret brought me to see you, whenever I was down on a visit. Will always remember the laughs we three shared.
I'm sure you are sorting out the social calendar up above, and are busy arranging the next shindig.
Will raise a glass or three to you.
Lots of Love
Maura. XXX

She was gutsy, gorgeous and a glorious example of a human being who was loving, kind, thoughtful and appreciative. Most of all I will remember the laughs, the fun and the sheer bubbly warmth of her personality. Along with the the Martini Bianco’s that morphed into G and T’s! Her legacy to Team Martin is that of love, warmth and laughter that will sustain them ‘all the days of their lives’.
“May flights of a angels hymn her to her rest” – and then have a bloody good party.
