Georgina Mary Hemsell (31 Oct 1946 - 1 Oct 2021)

In loving memory of Georgina Mary Hemsell who sadly passed away on 1st October 2021, aged 74.

A loving mother to April, Sarah, Cindy and Steven, fiancée to Jim, a loving sister, auntie, grandma, great grandma and a dear friend to many.

Mary spent many years happily married to John Charles, the father of her children, who sadly passed away in 1990.

Mary, also known as Scary Mary, impacted so many lives. She devoted many years as a newspaper vendor where she first met her now beloved Jim. Mary was a fun character, who loved to dress up and cause mischief whenever she had the chance.

Unfortunately Mary struggled with cancer for most of her life but remained strong and never let the cancer get in the way of anything she wanted to do. She remained happy and beautiful throughout, even into her last few days. She passed away peacefully knowing how loved she is by everyone.

The funeral is being held on the 20th of October, at Wilford Hill Crematorium at 3pm. The hearse will be leaving Mary's home at around 2:15pm. Anyone who wishes to follow behind to the funeral are welcome to. The dress code is Man United themed as the football team was a favourite of Mary's. Red ties, for anyone wearing a suit but red and white clothes are also fine.

The wake will be held at Mary's local pub Catchems Corner, 586 Vernon Road, Nottingham. Anyone is welcome as we celebrate Mary's life together.
