In loving memory of Mat Rawlings who sadly passed away on 1st September 2021
If people wish to donate to a Charity, Matthew’s family have chosen the Charity Dorset Mind, with the specific focus on Men’s Mental Health.
Some of you may have been aware of Mat’s struggles over many years, hence the choice.
We hope that one of Mat’s many legacies will be to take away the stigma of the phrase “just man-up”.
One of Mat’s mantras was “Don’t ignore the person beside you. He (or she) might need your attention”.
mat is someone I will never forget and was heartbroken to only recently hear the news. I will always remember our silly beach runs and breakfast every Sunday and I will always remember our deep chats about the world. Mat is one in a million and someone’s friendship I will truly treasure. You will be missed forever and always xx

Mat did some excellent work for Bernard Hammick and I, and we are so saddened to learn of the tragic loss of such a wonderful man in the prime of his life.

I am so sorry, but you have no pain now. I understand your mantra very well indeed and I will keep following it. So much love to you all, even though we don't even know each other. X So much love.
