In loving memory of Mat Rawlings who sadly passed away on 1st September 2021

If people wish to donate to a Charity, Matthew’s family have chosen the Charity Dorset Mind, with the specific focus on Men’s Mental Health.

Some of you may have been aware of Mat’s struggles over many years, hence the choice.

We hope that one of Mat’s many legacies will be to take away the stigma of the phrase “just man-up”.

One of Mat’s mantras was “Don’t ignore the person beside you. He (or she) might need your attention”.

Well done Belle and Bowen for pushing such a heavy weight in memory of Daddy’s friend Matt. He would be proud of you.

Dear Mat, we probably never met, but my son Ali Fakih, who passed in June, knew you.
I am so sorry, but you have no pain now. I understand your mantra very well indeed and I will keep following it. So much love to you all, even though we don't even know each other. X So much love.

My fondest memory of Mat was spending our GCSE “study leave” together riding our mountain bikes around Moors Valley for two weeks, 8 hours a day with Nick. So much more fun that revising!

Sending love to all Mats family, love Lynda, Clare and Paul

We knew you Matthew as a baby/todler and although we never saw you in later life, we know you grew up to be a wonderful caring young man who will be very much missed by your family and so many friends. Hope you are at peace.
