I cannot believe this news, I am in so much shock. It’s clear to see how well thought of you are in everyone’s memories, mine revolve around food, books and tv as well as the mouldy ham we made you remove! Sending your family lots of love and well wishes xx

Our fondest memory of Ian is when we decided to meet up for dinner in Coggeshall. It was such a memorable evening and so enjoyable to be with Ian and Miriam. Ian was smiling and laughing throughout the meal and him and Miriam were such great company. We were the last to leave the restaurant in higher spirits than when we came in. Just want to say how much we appreciated that Ian made Miriam so happy. It was lovely to see and we will miss him dearly.

This is really such sad news, Ian was such a lovely genuine person and I will always appreciate the support he gave me, and that he was always there for a good old gossip! My thoughts go out to all his family.

Life is so brutal taking one away so young, we enjoyed our Sambuca moments in Cyprus with Ian & Miriam. We will raise a glass thinking of the Happy Times you had together.

You will always be remembered for your gentle and kind nature whilst also being extremely funny and lovely company. To me I will always remember you as an uncle and as we reflect on your life it is clear all of our lives were that little bit richer having known you.

I am so sorry and saddened to hear about the passing of Ian. Ian was an incredible friend and support and he always brightened my day. I have some incredibly fond memories of hanging out with Ian (most of them involving nice food, lots of drink, and talk of TV shows we had watched). Ian will always be fondly in my memories as one of the best people I could have known. I am sending lots of love to all of Ian’s family and friends and thinking of you all at this sad time x

Dear Ian, As nannie would have said...rest and sleep well 'Boy'.
Thank you for all the good times.
Our memories of our holiday trips will stay with us forever...And somewhere in France there is still a man changing into his wellies or a lady appearing from the top of a wine barrel.
But mostly thank you for Rebecca....May she continue to bring much love, life and laughter to the world as you did.
Rest in peace.
Elaine and John.
