In loving memory of Raymond John Curtis who sadly passed away on 17th August 2021. A much-loved father, grandfather, brother and husband, who will also be missed by many friends and family who've known him throughout his life.

Ray made friends wherever he went. From playing with mates on the streets of Stepney, where he was affectionately known by some as Lemon due to his love of lemon curd, to riding motorbikes and playing football for Limta. From the friends he met through the CB radio, caravan campsites and windsurfing, right through to the neighbours and new friends he met in the towns of Essex after retiring to Wickford and then South Benfleet.

He was a funny, thoughtful and intelligent man who would always be there for you if you needed him.

The wake will be held at the Zach Willsher pub, 170 Church Rd, South Benfleet, Benfleet SS7 4PN, on Wednesday 15th September, from 3pm.

A great friend to my parents Elaine and Glenn… so many memories from my childhood - Ray came to parties at our house, round for coffee.. we also went to Spain together! Lots of laughs on the CB radio too.
