I have so admired my Aunt Cynth all my life. She was my Dad's younger sister and she did things! She rode a bicycle and then a tandem. She passed her driving test and immediately drove with John to the south of France. They had a beautiful golden retriever called Wanda; oh and she cooked wonderful puddings. I could also add that while living in Penn's Lane, Cynth and John had an Anderson shelter in the garden and a stained glass panel in the front door. All of this seemed so exotic to me when I was young.

Sending you deepest sympathy and much love as you celebrate the life of Auntie Cynth. We have fond memories of her, and husband John, from family parties that will remain with us forever. The pictures you’ve shared are really beautiful and show her sense of fun, and that she was much loved. Thinking of you all. Fran, Nick, Harry and Isla Webb xxx
