In loving memory of Betty Smith who sadly passed away on 1st August 2021. We kindly ask that if you're planning on attending mums funeral then the dress code is cheerful, not black if possible please.

Donations in memory of Betty are welcomed towards Brendoncare and can be made online at:

Mum lived her life with love, compassion and a huge heart. She helped anyone and everyone around her and never had a bad word to say about anybody. She had a tough life with little money but always ensured her family never went without.
She lived to be surrounded by her friends and family of which her 4 children gave her 12 grandchildren and they in turn gave Betty 13 great grandchildren. She was never happier than when any of them came to visit.
After nursing her father in law and then her own husband of more than 50 years she in turn began to suffer from a decline in health. Being diagnosed with alzheimers and sarcoidosis took its toll on her but she still stayed in her own home. Following a months stay in Poole hospital she was transferred to Forest Hill House Nursing Home where just 3 days later she passed away. She will leave a huge hole in the lives of many who loved her.
Thank you to you all for your love and support to us, her family in this sad time.

I miss you nan, most of all your smiles, your good sense of humour and ringing you each day to see how you are. I have booked in an appointment with the dentist for the rock cakes. Thanks for welcoming Natalie etc
