We were so sad to hear of Tony’s passing, especially because we hadn’t been able to see him for longer than we had wished given the Covid restrictions.

Mia (Marion’s name given by our eldest daughter Josie) and Toto (ditto) are very very special to us all. They have been a massive part of ours and our children’s life for so long and we love them dearly.

Tony was always immaculately presented and always keen to hear what we had been up to. Always with a smile and a cup of tea or wine sometimes.

Mia and Toto made such a lovely couple. A real example of a long lasting and loving relationship, and a happy marriage all values that we aspire to and can learn from.

We will miss our Toto and will do our best to support Mia going forwards.

Rest in peace Toto, aka Tony.

Ollie, Amanda, Josie, Isabella and Toby xxxxx

Tony was a wonderful brother-in-law and friend the best. We will always remember the lovely holidays we had together and the time we shared. He was such fun and always honest, we will miss him so much. We are so proud to have known him. We loved him as we will continue to love Marian and help her all we can at this very sad time. Until we meet again Tony, love Jean and Roy

I was so sad to hear about the passing of my uncle Tony. Although I knew it would eventually happen, it doesn’t make it any easier. I will always remember him as a mountain of a man with a very kind and loving heart to my auntie. Last time I physically saw my uncle Tony I was only 14. This was when my mom and I came over from the United States to visit. That was my first experience riding on the wrong side of the car and driving on the wrong side of the road! It was my first time playing snooker, my first time golfing, and my first time playing badmitton, thanks to my uncle Tony and my cousin Paul. Way too many
good memories to list. What I remember the most is how much my auntie and uncle loved each other, how happy they were, and how much fun they had together. They were the true definition of unconditional love. I believe my mom and uncle Tony are up in Heaven smiling and laughing looking down on all of us, telling us not to be sad and that we will all be together again one day.
Love and prayers,
Aaron and Mandy Aspel

We were very sad to hear of Uncle Tony's passing. Growing up, I remember him as such a strong, intelligent and humorous man. He was always immaculately dressed too! He took me to the zoo when I was young and lost his shoe...now there's a story! I remember one Christmas he took a liking to a particular bottle of my Dad's home-made wine and was completely sober until he tried to stand up, only to discover that his legs didn't work!! Tony was a wonderful wordsmith too and was especially talented at writing a letter of complaint. He used to write two letters; one he would send and the other he would show to us as the version he wanted to send...they were hilarious! We will miss him terribly, and send all our love to Auntie Mary (yes, it's Marion, but I couldn't say it when I was little so she's Mary to me!) in her time of grief. Much love. Paul, Louise and Evie xxx
