I have so many fond memories of Roy.
Be it just sitting in the garden with a cup of tea and a cigarette, ranting about politics, or sharing amazing stories about his recent shenanigans (can't go into details).
He was a great story teller, and often had me in fits of laughter.
He was an animal lover, not that he was obvious about it, and had a good knowledge of them too. It was great to see how he was with the pets in the house and how they responded to him, when he thought noone was looking. Such a big heart.
He was great with the kids, love all around, and he was great with me, we had time for each other and we enjoyed chatting for ages.
There's so much I want to say, but can't find the words to express all the times I felt love for him, and all the times he made me proud to know him.
A much loved father, and grandfather.
A caring, serious in his funniness, and often misunderstood, brilliant man.
I love him, I miss him and these are the things that will remain, along with the great memories.
RIP Roy.
