Dear Joy
I was deeply saddened by the recent loss of Derek. I know as a family we are all still in shock and are finding it difficult to come to terms with. It is hard for everyone, and I know that Andy is finding each day a challenge as he comes to terms with the sad loss of his dad. Sometimes we never know how important someone is to us until it is too late. I know Andy has taken great comfort in knowing that Derek had you in his life and was happy. I hope that over time the pain will become easier for everyone. I just wanted to say that as a family (Andy, Naomi, Gill , Lillie and myself) we are all upset by Derek’s loss and wanted to let you know that we are here thinking of you during this difficult time. If there is anything that we can do to help, please don’t hesitate to call. You are in our thoughts and may Derek rest in peace.
