Susan Orton, 70, died on 10 July 2021 at Haunton Hall Nursing Home, after a short, but courageous struggle with Brain Cancer. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday 16 August 2021 at Woodlands Crematorium, Birmingham Road, Coleshill, North Warwickshire, B46 1DP.

Susan was born on 12 July 1950, in Marston Green, Birmingham to Leslie & Josephine Brooks. She had a successful career in Office administration. Susan married Stephen Orton on 25 April 1970. Together they raised two children & she has five Grandchildren & seven Great-Grandchildren.

Susan epitomised all of the great things about family & togetherness. A lioness in relation to protecting & nurturing her pride; whilst being a friend to many, many people. Her capacity to care & give kindness to all, set her apart from ‘the crowd’ as the finest Mother, Wife & person.

Her Family paid this tribute to her: “Susan was the heart of our family, always available, always caring & always with sage guidance when times were difficult. The kindest & thoughtful person you would ever meet, she opened her heart & life to many over the years & she will be eternally missed.”

Susan is survived by her Son, Daughter & Brother, Andrew, Jacqueline & Peter.

We invite all to post reflections of your memories & cherished photos of Susan onto this webpage.

The funeral is subject to COVID protective measures & attendance is via this invite – All mourners are respectfully requested to complete a peak flow test within 24 prior to 16 August & wear face masks (where applicable); whilst maintaining social distancing to ensure the safety of all.

How to put into words what an incredible woman you was to us all ❤️
One thing you taught me over the last 3 years is that Tomorrow is never promised, you picked me up and treated me just like your own when you was grieving yourself.. we have shared many of memories about you, mum and Peter growing up, ( mum of course always being the naughty one even tho I think it was that u was just to clever not to get caught) the good old days at nans house when auntie kitty, Tricia ( all the different smells of beautiful perfumes) and GianCarlo and all of us would eat sandwiches, cucumber and onions in vinegar and blackforest cake ( still frozen in the middle) ending the night with lots of kisses and hugs ( sloppy ones from uncle Steve) we really did have the best family times of all xx the best memory I will have is how you loved unconditionally.. it’s never good bye from me as you know but always until I see you again.. thank you for loving me when it felt like no one else did love always and forever Pennylouise xx
