Peacefully at home, after a brave battle with illness, on July 15th aged 81 years, Doris (nee Embleton, formerly Seymour). The much-loved mam of Alan, David and Andrew. The devoted wife of the late Maurice, formerly of Ken. A cherished gran and great-gran. A dear mother-in-law, aunt and friend of many. Former Hetton Mayor and Sunderland Councillor. Friends please meet for service in Union Street Methodist Church, Hetton on Thursday July 29th at 10:00am. Committal to follow in Durham Crematorium. All are welcome afterwards to Hetton Lyons Cricket Club. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu kindly received for the work of Parkinsons UK, Sunderland; St Benedicts Hospice, Ryhope and Marie Curie. A donation box will be available in the church.
