Mark, I am saddened to hear this news. You were a good friend for many years and although we had our difficulties in the end I am glad you found happiness with Vicky and the children and also very sorry to hear things were so tough for you in the end. Hope you are finally at peace now.

Vicky I am so sorry to hear that Mark has passed away. We have only met a few times at our mutual friends Louise's and I could clearly see that you are a lovely and amazing family. My thoughts and love to you and your beautiful children.

"I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. - Leo Buscaglia"

Vicky, Eve, Matthew, Daniel and Bethany, I hope you find some comfort in these words and all the beautiful messages and special memories we all have to share.

You don't need me to tell you how amazing Mark is, you already know. Just let me say that everyone else also noticed his courage, determination, warmth and devotion, it was impossible not to. Eve, I see exactly the same in you, be proud always that you were taught by the best.

Mark, I'll always remember your commitment to raising a world-class footballer and being seriously impressed by your skills displayed on Springwell's playground. I'll also remember the enthusiasm you displayed when supporting Eve in the year 6 football tournament (my burst ear drum is testament to that!). Most of all though, I'll remember the look of pride and love you forever had towards Vicky and your children, it was a joy to see.

It's with such sadness that I write this but sadness that comes with the privilege of having known you. Thank you for allowing Natasha to spend time with your family and for the kindness you always had towards her. She'll miss you Mark, we all will.
