Marie Boulton (10 Jun 1934 - 16 Apr 2021)

In loving memory of Marie Boulton who sadly passed away on 16th April 2021.

Born in 1934 mum saw some incredible achievements and changes by man. Then, man had only been using powered flight for 30 years and rockets to the moon were a space fiction fantasy, let alone walking on the moon. And now we have the Internet and even powered flight on Mars, although not with a human on board. All these things have relied on computers. Mum was very adaptable to these changes. Starting with typewriters, with which she won accuracy and speed awards she progressed to PCs, laptops and finally ipads to keep in touch with us all. She wasn't scared by these changes and used them to her advantage.

But Mum will mostly be remembered for everything she did for everybody else. She was a great listener who always had time and advice if we were in troubled times. She was always welcoming, loved her husband and her family, children and grandchildren. She loved cooking, there was always a selection of cakes for you, whenever and whoever you were, when you came to visit. And Sunday family meals were something special. Just like our mum, she is something special.

A life well lived. Go safe Mum. We love you too.
