David Roger Shaw (9 Oct 1953 - 11 Apr 2021)

In loving memory of David Roger Shaw who sadly passed away on 11th April 2021. He was a Loving husband Father Grandfather and friend.

He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends,

Over the years in machine engineering his work moved him and his family to Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex where David spent many years enjoying the sea side life with all the family pets, walks along the Beach and near by country side, with the occasional round of golf or a bout of fishing thrown in.

He then took early retirement from Engineering and became a part time support worker at the local recycle centre and everyone who knew him there knew the deal. He would have his elevenses onesies and threesies and cigarette breaks in-between, during these times David would be spotted sitting on "his wall" watching the day go by. He became a popular landmark towards the end of his career between his sons friends who would often beep as they drove past and would always get a friendly wave.

Over the past years David and his wife Linda made the move back to Yorkshire to be closer to family and retire properly and when they found their forever home it was the view that sold it. Both David and Linda spent days looking out over the valley and working on their garden.

David was and always will be a devoted farther, looking after his three sons and daughter, he would do anything no matter how big or small to help where he could, and all of his children will look back on all of the good times they have spent with him.

Sleep well
