Thea was very much part of my childhood - she was so full of enthusiasm and curiosity, always keen to chat about literature and ideas, kind-hearted and interested in others, she will be much missed.

I will always be thankful to Thea and Eddie for looking after me when I was little. I went to a boarding school in Rochester while my family were living in the Middle East. Thea looked used to take me out some weekends and take me to New Ash Green and give me some nice food and I would play with Jonny Ruthie and Danny ( Dungeons and Dragons!). She was such a kind and enthusiastic person, who was genuinely interested in listening to what you had to say.

+Condolences to Thea's family. She was a school friend despite being in a different house and year, both of which were rather frowned on; we used to meet clandestinely and talk about poetry. When applying to Oxford Thea came upon the question, Sex. Clearly she was meant to put M or F, but this seemed strange as she was applying to a women's college, so she wrote Yes. We were at university together too, but rather lost touch, reuniting when we attended a memorial service for our tutor Katie Lea. After that we were in touch until I had no information as to where she was. I shall miss her as an important childhood friend, bright and enthusiastic always, intelligent and amusing, with a beautiful deep voice even then. I shall light a candle and have a mass said for her.

Mum, I miss your energy, enthusiasm and excitement. You lit up the world around you. Life is less bright without you, but I have loved hearing the memories our family & your friends have shared. Rest in Peace.
