I became neighbours with Pat and Peter at Clockhouse Way, 1980. Our boys, Dan and Simon became best friends at school. We spent many evenings together, nice dinners, then a few rounds of Canasda. When I moved to US, they were able to visit and were guests at my daughters wedding in 2008. The last time I saw Pat was 3 years ago. We had a lovely wander around her beautiful summer garden. She never missed a birthday card, with a letter and Christmas card, it was sad to not send one to her last week. I will remember her with great fondness and miss her unending friendship.
