Born: Shirley "Ann" Gilbert on 3rd March 1932 in Watford, Hertfordshire
Parents: Reg (greengrocer) and Vic (mother and good cook)
School: Watford Grammar School
Work: Photographic laboratory in Watford
Married: Fred Babbs (a local apprentice engineer) on 30 July 1955 at Holy Rood Catholic Church in Watford
Children: David 1956, Elizabeth 1960, Joanne 1969
1967 Moved from Watford to Sherwood, Nottingham when Fred’s job relocated. Summer holidays spent in Malta and many lifelong friends made there
1983 Moved from Sherwood to Radcliffe-on-Trent
1992 Joanne gave birth to Naomi and Ann became a proud Grandmother for the first time
1993 Fred died of lymphoma at the age of 63
1993 - 2007 more children were born:
Lucy & Freddie (to David)
Gabrielle, Juliette, Ethan and Edward (to Joanne)
2016 Moved to Lark Hill Village
2017 Attended the wedding of Naomi to Matt and became a proud Great-Grandmother with the birth of Thomas in 2019
