In loving memory of Jill Muriel Hobbs who sadly died on 9th March 2021. Jill was a wonderful woman, who lived life to the full, travelling the world with friends and visiting others. She brought Love and Sparkle to others with her cheerful, caring personality. Jill lived in her Rotherhithe home for 73 years - from the age of 13 - and, after her parents died, she put her own indelible mark on the flat. It was always full of fresh flowers and wonderful aromas from her candles and oils.

The Beautiful garden she created on her terrace, originally started by her late Mother, was breath-taking! Jill cared enormously for her garden and, in the Summer months she would enjoy the sunshine - occasionally from under he large umbrella - and she could only see the blue sky.

Jill had a love of all animals and although she had a dog or two, as a child, she had several cats. Twizzie was the first cat I met and, later, Smudge/Smudgie/HSH, who was almost 21 when she died in late 2018.

I know that Jill will be very much missed by her many Friends. We have lost a wonderful friend but we have a myriad of memories. Christmas, which Jill Loved, will never be the same again.

Good Night, God Bless, We Love You. Amen xXx

Jill, or Wendy as she was called in our Salon had been working for us over 20 years as a cashier and receptionist, she was a loyal and conciencious member of our staff in our lovely Salon in Berkely Street. She knew how to handle our often spoiled and demanding Ladies with great panache and understanding.
She always had an open ear for the customers who enjoyed chatting with her. When she finally retired she was greatly missed by all of us.
However we kept in good touch and shared her big love for plants and flowers, the way she kept her balcony in bloom was amazing a show piece fit for a plant exhibition.
She will be greatly missed as a friend, may she rest in pease till we meet again.

Josef

Dear Jill was part of our family and a very dear friend for more than 56 years. We have many happy memories of times spent with her and her parents when Sue and Richard were very young. She was always there to comfort and support me through sad times and to share the happy times. I will miss her so much. With much love, Jean.
