In loving memory of Simon Baker who sadly passed away on 25th January 2021. He was devoted to all his family. Always loving kind thoughtful and loyal to anyone who knew him. He was a loving Husband, Father, Son, brother and Uncle who enjoyed life and had so much more to enjoy. He was diagnosed several years ago with Diabetes. Unfortunately he contracted Covid in December 2020 and ended up in hospital where Covid and Diabetes led to him being so unwell he passed away. 3 days later his mum Elaine also passed away from covid. They were loved so much and we were not ready for them to go. They will be missed so much xxx

Simon has been my closest friend for nearly 30 years and now he's gone which I really can't believe or want to believe.
Simon has been my best friend for years and even now i still can't believe I won't get a phone call saying hi Biffa alright to pop round Friday night ( always chatting gadgets, computers, home entertainment etc) we just had so much in common .
Simon had a great sense of humour as I told him we had moved to Clacton to recieve his answer of what you retired then lol
Always had a story to tell and always up for a laugh we enjoyed working together for many years over the span of 2 jobs and really wish we had more time to share which i thought we would have .
Going to miss you my friend until we meet again don't hog all the gadgets save some for me .

Nearly 50 years of memories, from tormenting the good folk of Writtle on our push bikes, then as teenagers doing the same on motorbikes.
The concerts and festivals we went to, whatever we did we were side by side, not a day went by without us seeing each other and plotting our next adventure.
I was shy and quiet but your enthusiasm and confidence soon brought out the best of me.
You were always the first to stick up for me if there was any trouble, without a second thought for yourself. Basically you were the best best friend.
When wives and families came along we saw less of each other, but when we could meet up it was as if no time had passed at all, such was the bond we had.
There are no words to tell you how I'm feeling right now, but I know you know.
To my best friend and a great man,
Rest in peace Simon.
Dave.

I was privileged to have worked alongside Simon for the last 5 years or so. He was a a kind and empathetic man who was good at his job. He knew every machine inside out and was always keen to learn and expand his knowledge.
I became very fond of Simon in the time I knew him and am sad to lose him. My sincere condolences and best wishes to his family, who have lost a good man too early.

Simon, you were one of the good ones. You restored my faith in men many times. You were a good friend and comforted me when needed and accepted me into your family. I have so many wonderful memories of you. Our chats and laughs about music and films. Taking the mick out of things and yes even your darling April. I remember the drinks and bbqs and how you used to walk or drive me home. Lets not forget the road kill stew, out the kettle on when we meet again I swear its your turn! ;)
You were amazing with Beastie. The only man not afraid to hold her!
You are missed so much. Loved forever, missed for always and never ever forgotten.
