In loving memory of Patricia Byrne Pinto, a beloved mother, sister and friend, who sadly passed away on 29th January 2021.

Born to the late Jim and Eileen Byrne in 1954, she spent her formative years in her hometown of Dublin, Ireland, prior to moving to Jordan where she lived from 1980-1983. In 1984, she settled permanently in the South of England, where she spent the remaining 36 years of her life.

Known to most as Tricia, Patricia touched the lives of so many people with her kindness, sense of humour and Irish charm. While she got to fulfil her dream and travel the world while working for Alia, the Royal Jordanian airline, the source of her greatest pride was raising her three sons.

She will be missed every day by her boys Jordan (and his wife Elise), Zack and Carl, her two siblings, Peter Byrne and Helen Coleman, and her former husband and cherished life-long friend, Agi. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Tricia’s wish to help those in need, donations can be made to the Mandala Trust, a charity dedicated to helping children and young people in vulnerable situations across the world, and assisting in aiding refugees in Jordan, a cause which Patricia felt very passionately about.

Mumma Pinto.

I’m so shocked and sadden that you have left us all so soon. Most of my adolescent memories were spent in your home - I think there were periods of time where I slept on your sofa more than in my bed!
Your hospitality (sandwiches and tea) and tolerance were that of a saint, which you very much were. You opened your home up to everyone with kindness and created an environment for so many happy childhood memories to be made for so many people.
I imagine that if we were to ask around, most of the best stories and best memories would have started or ended in your home.
I always considered you to be a second mum and I will miss you and missing knowing that I can’t pop in to say hi.
You have created a legacy with all the wonderful traits you possessed that can be seen through the 3 cracking men you and Agi developed.

There is so much more I could write, and stories I could tell, but in short, the world will be a lesser place without you.

You will always be remembered and always be in my heart.

To Agi, Jor, Zack and Curlywurly, my heart goes out to you all and I am sending love and support in anyway I can and you need.

Lots of love,
Lath

In the short time I was lucky enough to know Trish, it was easy to see how much she loved her boys and how truly proud she was of them.
She had a beautiful, kind smile and a comforting presence.
Sending lots of love and prayers.

Mama Pinto - it is with a heavy heart I am writing this message. You were such a joy to be around and always brought a smile to those around you. It was real pleasure and privilege to have known you and I very much enjoyed our conversations about family and all things "Zacky". Thank you for being such a willing and caring host to us PGS boys on so many occasions, but namely every single Folk Festival since I can remember. Your warmth, kindness and charm will never be forgotten. All my love, K.

Patricia, you lit up the room and my evening every time I popped round to pick up Zacky on the way to the pub. Your kind, open heart made me feel like a member of the family whenever I stepped through the door. Very quickly it felt like it wasn't one of the boys I was coming to see but you. And what lovely boys they are ey? I'm blessed to have known you and your family; at a loss to say my goodbyes. Rest in peace x

The warmest smile, laugh and welcome, Trish, being in your company was always a joy and a moment we looked forward to. Thank you for having us on countless occasions, looking after us and out for us over the years. I will always cherish your support. The boys will cringe, but I know you’ll love it - Keep Dancing!! Hi Ma,

Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces and I don't think we'll ever get used to life without you in it. I'm going to do my best to smile today and remember all the love you gave us, lessons you taught us, memories we created together and, of course, the laughs we shared.

Rest in Peace, dearest Ma xxx

Dear Patricia. I cannot thank you enough for all the time you spent you spent teaching me how to behave politely when I met new people, or the many conversations we shared about life, relationships, family and friends. I will miss coming to see you for a cup of tea and a catch up, and I will always cherish the times we spent together. You were so loved by all who met you. Love from Neil and Janet Shortland
