In loving memory of Kathleen Rose Shirley Kemp who sadly passed away on 30th January 2021
'Captain' will be greatly missed by her sons, grandchildren and friends.
During her long life she brought joy and happiness to so many people, not least of all the cast and audiences of her many plays and shows, and worked tirelessly to support family and friends.
Always will she be in our hearts.

Goodbye Captain

Standing in her kitchen as a 13 year old, I first heard Katy before I saw her. Such a huge jolly personality wrapped up in such a small lady. You couldn't fail to love her. Countless conversations, just as many theatre productions later, popping in to see her at work, I just know she's a lady I will never forget. Rest in peace, Captain, you - and your delicious curries and rice puddings - will live on forever in many people's hearts.

What lovely words regarding your Mum Kathleen. I did not know your mum had done acting in the past. I had always liked that you all called her captain and made me think she was captain of the ship.
