So many, many happy and funny memories of you John. Hard to believe that I first met you over 40 years ago! Then just when you thought you'd seen the last of me when you finally sold the stables, my life-long friend Sonia married your son Shaun. Couldn't get rid of me that easy hey :) Whenever I have seen you, you always had a good old natter with me. I loved your dry sense of humour, the patience and kindness you showed to all of us youngsters at the stables over the years - always ready to help if you could. You will forever have a place in my heart and although in the later years I have called you John, you will forever be Mr Brett to me. Rest in peace Mr Brett. With much love Anne xxx

John was never referred to as John by us, it was always Jonny Brett. A quiet man with a good heart. Lots of memories from many years ago, when we were all so very young, and life was good. Rest in Peace Jonny Brett.

Uncle John, my memories of you will always be at the riding stables, where Kim and I spent all of our time when we were younger, we always had great fun and you were always there to give a helping hand when we needed you.

John I will always remember you as my kind had working uncle who loved animals!

You will always be loved and sadly missed by your Sister Dorothy.

Rest In Peace John

with love Gail xx

Dad - John Brett, meant a lot to a lot of different people in lots of different ways.

He spent time when he was younger working on farms, later working at garages serving fuel and vehicle mechanics. Dad also loved his animals, having horses, dogs, cats and even a goose which came with a house.

Not only was Dad the best Dad you could ask for - he adored his Grandchildren and his Sister and Brother always had a special place in his heart.

All I can say is Dad we really miss you, and wish you sweet dreams and you we will hold you dear in our hearts forever.

I was shown the following poem by Jamie Anderson, which is how I am feeling.

Grief, I've learned, is really just love.
It's all the love you want to give, but cannot.
All that unspent love gathers up in the corners
of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in the
hollow part of your chest.
Grief is just love with no place to go.

Love you always.
Kim, Gary, Ollie and Joshua
