In loving memory of Jean Eyres who sadly passed away on 15th January 2021.

Jean was born in Northam and went to Northam Infants, Northam Juniors then Mount Pleasant and was fortunate not to be evacuated along with Roy and Joyce because she was staying with Granny Skipp for a few days. The roads were her playground but the council set up the mixed youth club in Northam school and that's where she met Ted, who was in the Navy at the time. She went on to have her boys Robert and Philip. When she left school she first worked at the grocery shop Dewhursts in st Mary's Street and then worked at the margarine factory where she packed the Bells Cheese Triangles. A very talented lady who could knit, sew, crochet, draw, paint and also later made lovely cards and jewellery.
