Miss you at work every day Alan,  especially today as it's your birthday and your turn to get the cakes in!!
Not sunk in yet that we won't see you again, still doesn't feel real.

I have fond memories of working with Alan on numerous projects..

Having Alan on the end of the telephone to help resolve electrical issues whilst in the depths of Africa was very re-assuring... What patience he had !

Good humoured and his 'we can try it' attitude was quite frankly ... the epitome of good British engineering !

The realisation that we no longer have him around has still not sunk in yet - he will be sorely missed....

I am proud to say I knew Alan for 35 years. With the size and complexity of the panel at Shoreham along with the mayhem of harvest and shiploading it was a massive comfort to me knowing that Al was always there to help solve any problems. Over the years we had many enjoyable conversations it was clear how much he loved his family and how fond and proud he was of the people that worked for him. Genius dedicated to his work loyal to his customers and above all a friend. Sadly missed.

Alan, it was over 40 years ago when we first met when I was the new boy at T H White. Over the years a few things have changed like our hair style and trouser size but your smile and friendship remained throughout. I am sure that you are once again able to hold Lisa's hand and one day maybe we will be able to finish our conversation over which bike would have been the next.

Difficult to find any words that are adequate. Al will always hold a special place in our hearts. We are so fortunate to have shared wonderful times with Al, Lisa and Luke. Al was full of fun and that's how we will remember you - the parties, dinners, our family holidays together, festivals and days out. As much as that we will miss bumping into you in the pub and around the village. So many future plans for fun are now gone. Luke is a credit to you and Lisa and will remain a part of our lives. I had the pleasure of knowing Alan for must be 25-30 years he was just a great human being and will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

My former work colleague at TH White, boss at Morelec, near neighbour in Longcroft Road and occassional drinking buddy in the pub. I knew Alan for 41 years and can't remember a single time when he had a bad word to say about anyone, or upset a single person. I remember bumping into Al for the last time in the GWH car park just before he lost Lisa. He really will be sorely missed.
