In loving memory of Jim Smith who sadly passed away on 16th January 2021.

Jim will be remembered for his terrific sense of humour and his cheeky smile.
He was a person passionate about science and the natural world.
He enjoyed the challenge of teaching students with mixed abilities for nearly thirty years in Doncaster and SE London.
He encouraged solid life skills in the young through organised after - school clubs and outdoor activities, such as the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme during the 1960s and 70s.

Jim had many memorable adventures from walking holidays with the family, to a once in a life time visit with Freda to see their other family in San Francisco. Gardening was also another passion too during his retirement.

Jim took great pride in being part of the family of St Johns Church, Eltham. In recent years he helped develop the foundation of St Gabriel's church, Kings Hill.

Jim was such a big part of The Old Downs, his last community. He was always there to offer a smile and get involved in every activity on offer.

Thankfully his sense of humour was not lost, unlike some precious family recollections due to the effects of dementia.
Jim will be greatly missed by so many. He will always be ‘alive in our memories’.

The family are supporting the Alzheimer's Society.
If you would like to make a donation to the charity listed, it would be gratefully received.
