I am the great niece of Vanna, John's first violin teacher, to whom John was a wonderful, dear friend. I just heard the sad news and send my deepest condolences to his family and friends.

As a member of EYO in 1980’s, I was hugely inspired by John. He had a magical way of making the score come alive and bringing out the best in the young musicians.
Sending my condolences to his family and friends.

Jo Broad donated £20 in memory of John Georgiadis

My heartfelt condolences to John's family and friends. Although this is the saddest of times, I cannot think of JG without an enormous sense of joy. John was a genius with young people - that rare ability to perfectly balance challenge, aspiration and support all wrapped up in an incredible sense of humour. His loss feels great, but his spirit lives on. Jo - proud member of his "EYO community".

Cay and I were so sad to hear the news that John has passed away. So many shared happy times full of jokes, banter, golf and holidays to say nothing of the music we shared over the last 20 years. John was a giant of his generation in the musical world, a superb violinist and conductor and a good friend. We will miss him. Please accept our sincere condolences. John & Cay Perkins

Our family has always been so proud of John for his accomplishments in the world of music. Although separated by oceans,I have always kept in touch, and my husband Lee and I would look forward to our visits with him whenever we traveled to England or Europe. Now that his autobiography has been completed,John will live on forever through both his words and his music. “Bravo” A life well lived!

One of John's lesser-known talents was his ability to keep an unruly bunch of cyclists under some sort of control every Tuesday morning starting at Deal Pier. I was one of them. We shall miss him greatly.
