In loving memory of Barbara Hrkalovic who sadly passed away on 27th December 2020. A Woodhouse resident since she was a small child, Barbara leaves her husband Jack, children Susan and Annette, daughter in law Denise and son in law John. Also grandchildren Nicole and Claire in Australia, Kerry and Daniel, and Paul and five great grandchildren.
Barbara loved her family, her life and Woodhouse and all the people she knew as friends. We will miss her warmth, kindness and wit.

Only just heard the sad news of Barbara , we will always have fond memory’s of all the family. It was only last week we walked by the house as we have been saying for so long we must pop in . Time just goes too fast but memory’s will never go away . Really sad steve and sue

  • Dear Steve and Sue Annette here, Pete's sister. Thank you for commenting. Jack followed Barb just 4 months later almost to the day. He was always less well than Mum but I believe he didn't want to go before her, so by force of will he kept going. I was lucky to have been able to look after mum for the three months after we realised she was very poorly, and just the month of April with dad; they both died at home from which I take comfort. It was tough for us all without Pete and I miss him more now than ever as we should be sharing memories of our childhood and reminiscing together. I kept the house and garden trim until Daniel took over Beech Tree in January 2022. I have little reason for visiting now but will come and check dad’s grave occasionally. He was buried in Leeming Lane cemetery and he is near to Mum as her ashes are buried in their baby daughter's grave as they wanted. I did scatter some of Mum’s ashes on Peter’s grave at Tythe Green as she wanted to be with both of her “babbies”. So, the old folk are gone and I do so miss my visits to Woodhouse. Such great characters, I am lucky to have had them in my life - bless them all, lovely Pete, Barb and Jack 💙.
