What shocking news of Jimmy's early departing from his treasured family, animals & farm. You were the best of employers & showed me how hard work & kindness always got the job done. I always felt fortunate being part of 'The Roberts Family' & picked up skills , teaching & positive experience that has benefitted me in life, home & work. In time may you all seek peace with your endless good memories of Jimmy.

I remember Mr Roberts so vividly when he was a valued client of my parents and I was working for them. He was the essence of a true Yorkshire gentleman farmer and always an absolute pleasure to encounter, on the phone or in person. I always used to say that he had the best kept farm in Yorkshire! To me he was a kind and meticulously courteous human being. No interaction with him failed to make my day better. When he asked you how you were, he genuinely wanted to know the answer.

I am so sorry for the loss to all his family and friends. The world was a better place for his contribution to it.

Very much in my thoughts. This is a loss that is no less devastating because of the wider context of the pandemic,

Jenny x

I write this with a heavy heart and tears running down my face, today we say goodbye to a true gentleman and a bloody good farmer, you went too soon, I will miss the sound of your little trailer rattling and that grey landrover coming up with a sheep that needs lambing or a lamb bed wanting put back in, you were a brilliant man to work for, you will be sadly missed by everyone in my family.
