Margaret Shard (13 Jan 1942 - 5 Jan 2021)

I’d like to reiterate the appreciation I have for the NHS. The carers were so very kind and looked after our mum ( and immediate family), so very well. Always respectful and empathic, ensuring that our mums dignity was upheld and to the very end. They made an unbearable time a little more bearable so thank you for the bottom of my heart.

Mum, you can now be at peace. It seems surreal that you are no longer here. So very proud of everything you achieved during your life. I will miss you eternally.

Always in our hearts

Dear Madge, you are so missed, ferociously loyal you were the friend we all needed. Kind and compassionate, but oh how you made us all laugh. Sweeping the yard to within an inch of its life. We will remember you with you laugh in our hearts. Thinking of Mark and your family at this sad time x

Madge, I will miss you so much. You had such a kind heart and was always there with your words of wisdom. I looked up to you and will be forever grateful for all the help and advice you gave me. You were one amazing lady and I will cherish all the memories I got to share with you ❤️ Sending lots of love to Mark and the family xxx

Margaret was an amazing person, and I’m deeply saddened to hear of her passing.
She was such a great friend to me, and I have such wonderful memories with her.
I feel honoured to have known her and I’ll miss her terribly.

Such an amazing women, who was so generous and had everyone’s best interests at heart. She was always the first one to help when you needed her. Madge touched so many hearts, and will be missed by her leybourne family. I feel blessed to have shared so many memories with her. Lots of love Lauren xx

Love you Nanny, I’m so glad your not in pain anymore. I will forever treasure our amazing memories of the stables, car drives, Olympia horse show, helping me learn to drive and just being an amazing inspirational person in my life ❤️

Also, I would have missed half of my 'O' levels if she hadn't insisted on delivering me to school every day. She was a wonderful lady and I'll always remember her fondly. My thoughts are with you all. xxx

I have to say that when I heard about this service the funeral directors offer I wasn’t too sure about it. But seeing how many people have been able to leave comments,who’s lives were touched by her is so touching. Really lovely for the family to read and it will always be accessible for reflection 🙏💕
